Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep I.

Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for proper reimbursement from insurance payors
• Conduct prebilling/billing activities and follow up on open insurance claims while obtaining necessary documentation
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct information, while maintaining accurate patient and insurance records

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic proficiency in keyboarding and operation of computer software systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to billing and insurance
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices
