Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Representative I to support billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for proper reimbursement from insurance payors
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct billing information
• Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and comply with departmental performance standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
