Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for insurance payors to ensure proper reimbursement
• Conduct prebilling and follow-up activities on open insurance claims, obtaining necessary documentation
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers, acting as a liaison to validate and correct information

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to billing and insurance
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices
