Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

To support moderately complex billing processes, the full-time Billing Follow Up Representative will manage insurance claims follow-up, ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to resolve outstanding claims
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct billing information
• Compile and maintain accurate documentation of all billing activities for assigned accounts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) preferred
• Proficiency in operating computer and software systems used in billing
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as explanations of benefits (EOB)
