Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time hourly Billing Intake Specialist will assist members with initial file setup, manage balance bill inquiries, and ensure accurate data entry in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist members with the setup of balance bills and respond to related inquiries
- Accurately input member balance bill information into the database while maintaining quality and turnaround SLAs
- Communicate with the Audit Team and third-party partners to gather necessary documentation for balance bills
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Experience in healthcare or billing environments is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations
