Billing Operations Lead

Job Summary

Owning day-to-day billing operations, the full-time remote Billing Operations Lead will manage complex claims, improve workflows using technology and AI, and enhance communication with providers and families.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations and maintain overall claim health
• Engage in hands-on claims work, including managing complex cases and addressing denials and appeals
• Track productivity and report on billing operations while identifying recurring issues for upstream solutions

Required qualifications

• Several years of hands-on medical billing and claims experience
• Strong knowledge of denials, appeals, accounts receivable follow-up, and payer escalation
• Experience leading billing teams or managing external partners
• Proven ability to build dashboards and productivity reporting tools
• Interest in utilizing AI tools to enhance operational efficiency
