Billing Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Reimbursement Specialist I who will be responsible for reconciling medical claims and working with third-party insurance billing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Increase cash flow and reduce bad debt through effective billing practices
• Manage appeals and denials according to payer guidelines
• Perform data entry and verify insurance eligibility while resolving billing inquiries

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma at minimum required
• 1 year of experience in A/R, Billing, insurance, or healthcare; laboratory insurance billing preferred
• Knowledge of coding systems such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and medical billing software
• Hands-on experience with medical billing and reimbursement processes
