Billing Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

To support revenue collection efforts, the temporary remote Billing Reimbursement Specialist II will focus on reconciling medical claims, managing appeals and denials, and ensuring accurate billing processes during the Monday to Friday day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Focus efforts on increasing cash flow and reducing bad debt
• Manage appeals and denial processes in accordance with payer guidelines
• Investigate denied services and take appropriate actions to resolve billing issues

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or healthcare, preferably in laboratory insurance billing
• Knowledge of coding systems such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical billing software
• Understanding of insurance eligibility verification and payer medical policies
