Billing Representative

Job Summary

To support efficient billing processes, the part-time Billing Representative will manage data accuracy and input on the billing system, address patient inquiries regarding insurance and billing issues, and follow up on accounts receivable while working remotely with occasional on-site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of data input and maintain the billing system by updating and entering new information
• Address patient questions regarding insurance and billing, and manage electronic claims submissions
• Review accounts receivable statements, process payments, and coordinate collections as necessary

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree in business preferred
• Three years of experience in a hospital or related field required
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
• Strong math and analytical skills; familiarity with medical terminology preferred
