Billing Reviewer I

Job Summary

To support clinical research initiatives, the full-time Billing Reviewer I will perform charge capture and claim resolution in the Epic system, ensuring the accuracy of charges for research patient encounters while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct line-item charge reviews of research patient encounters in Epic to verify accuracy and completeness of charges
• Remediate charge errors identified during Epic review and ensure compliance with billing guidelines
• Collaborate with clinical research department personnel to enhance charge capture processes and resolve discrepancies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 1-year related coding/reimbursement experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and accounts payable/receivable processes preferred
• CPC or RHIT certification preferred
• Experience in a healthcare or research office environment preferred
