Billing Reviewer I

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Billing Reviewer I will perform charge capture and claim resolution in Epic for clinical research studies, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of assigned charges linked to research for billing purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct line-item charge reviews of research patient encounters in the Epic system to verify accuracy and compliance with billing intentions
• Identify and remediate charge errors, ensuring proper allocation of charges to research study accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Collaborate with clinical research department administrators and study coordinators to enhance charge capture processes and compliance

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related coding/reimbursement experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and accounts payable/receivable processes preferred
• Experience in a healthcare environment or research office preferred
• CPC or RHIT certification preferred
