Billing Scheduling Associate

Job Summary

To support a busy ophthalmology practice, the full-time remote Billing Scheduling Associate will obtain insurance information, schedule and register patients, and provide financial assistance counseling over the phone.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain insurance information and counsel patients on financial assistance options
• Schedule and register patients while communicating with clinical staff for urgent requests
• Explain billing processes to patients and assist with inquiries from third-party payers

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• No specific certification or professional license required
