Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist to manage coding and billing functions and ensure timely cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and submit completed encounters to RCM or other billing portals
• Communicate and coach others on error identification to prevent recurrent issues
• Engage with insurance companies regarding payment statuses and manage client billing

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Post-secondary education at AA level or beyond; medical office certification preferred
• Two or more years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral/mental health
• Experience working directly with major insurance carriers
• Demonstrated knowledge of billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume remote environment
