Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist responsible for managing billing claims to insurance companies and governmental institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine insurance company responsibility and review client charts for accurate documentation
• Prepare and submit claims for processing to insurance companies or governmental institutions, and follow up on previously billed claims
• Investigate and resolve billing errors, and provide training to others on the billing process

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2 or more years of medical billing experience
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation preferred
• Understanding of how payments are processed by insurance companies
• Familiarity with contractual adjustments and refunds preferred
