Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialist, Billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives, prepares, processes, and maintains billing documents using best-practice systems
• Pursues billing for government payers, including Medicare, and manages claims follow-up
• Identifies and corrects billing errors, reviews remittance advice, and posts adjustments to patient accounts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Experience with Medicare CWF and UB04/HCFA completion guidelines
• Familiarity with ICD 10 CM and CPT code sets
• Experience with EPIC and other billing systems such as Meditech and Cerner
• Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations
