Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist to support billing teams in ensuring efficient reimbursement for therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with client data and claims
• Manage multiple billing platforms and submit claims electronically for primary and secondary payors
• Maintain account spreadsheets and provide internal reporting on client billing status

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of billing experience in speech, occupational, and ABA therapy
• Strong knowledge of CPT coding and billing rules for major health insurance companies
• Experience working with large insurance companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna
• Proficient in using billing software and clearinghouse systems
• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma or equivalent required
