Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Billing Specialist is a full-time remote position responsible for the accurate processing of billing and reimbursement for services, including preparing and submitting insurance claims and tracking payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit claims and invoices, ensuring accurate coding and documentation
• Monitor claims for timely submission and resolve any billing inaccuracies
• Collaborate with funders and insurance companies to address billing inconsistencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Associate degree + 1 year or High school diploma + 2 years)
• Experience in data entry, claims processing, and revenue cycle billing
• Familiarity with Medical Insurance Payors, including Medi-Cal and commercial insurance
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
• Must be at least 21 years of age and meet state/federal licensing requirements
