Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the financial health of the organization, the full-time remote Billing Specialist will manage aged accounts, resolve billing issues, and collaborate with internal teams and payers to ensure accurate and timely collection of patient accounts.

Key responsibilities:

• Resolve delinquent accounts receivable across various payer types, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims to maximize reimbursement
• Document collection activities and payer communications accurately in the EMR system

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of healthcare billing or accounts receivable experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Experience with denials management and accounts receivable follow-up
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
• Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate verbally
