Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing home infusion therapy practice, the full-time Billing Specialist will manage billing processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and handle the Ready to Bill queue while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily billing activities align with cash collection goals and manage Accounts Receivable effectively
• Perform Quality Assurance on claims and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines
• Conduct timely processing of billing tickets and resolve unbilled claims efficiently

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in medical billing with knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
• Experience auditing documentation for compliance with payer requirements
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Working knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding, along with basic accounting practices
