Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Cycle Management team, the full-time Billing Specialist will manage billing processes related to unbilled revenue, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payment of claims while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily accomplishments align with company goals for cash collections and manage the Ready to Bill queue effectively
• Review delivery tickets for accuracy and submit claims according to payer-specific guidelines
• Conduct billing processes utilizing efficient resources to secure timely payment of open claims or invoices

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college education is a plus
• A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in medical billing, with knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
• Experience auditing documentation for compliance with payer requirements
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, typing 40 wpm, and using a 10-key calculator
