Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Billing Specialist will review patient medical records for accuracy, ensure compliance with billing regulations, and manage claims processing to support the revenue cycle management for the EMS transport industry.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and documentation to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
• Add required data elements to the billing platform, including ICD-9 codes and charges
• Process insurance claim forms in accordance with federal and state laws and departmental procedures

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 2 years of medical billing experience preferred
• Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) preferred
• Willingness to attain QMC Biller Certification upon employment
• Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize multiple programs simultaneously
