Billing Specialist - Colorado Licensed

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Cycle Management team, the full-time Billing Specialist - Colorado Licensed will manage billing processes for unbilled revenue, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely claim submissions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily goals for cash collections and Accounts Receivable are met, focusing on timely claim processing and compliance
• Manage the Ready to Bill queue, performing Quality Assurance to create accurate claims and invoices that meet payer guidelines
• Conduct billing efficiently to secure timely payments, participating in conference calls and identifying compliance issues with branch staff

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college education preferred
• 3 to 4 years of experience in medical billing with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement processes
• Experience auditing documentation for compliance with payer requirements
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is preferred
• Working knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding, along with basic accounting practices
