Job Summary

Billing Specialist I is a full-time position responsible for resolving claim edits for payors, ensuring compliant billing according to various guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Document all billing activities and identify billing error trends for management review
• Resolve claims edits and errors to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims
• Confirm and update patient insurance information and manage medical record requests for billing purposes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Knowledge of UB-04 and/or CMS 1500 forms preferred
• No prior experience required; knowledge of EPIC billing systems preferred
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision
• Understanding of billing guidelines and insurance contract methodologies
