Job Summary

Utilizing expertise in medical coding and revenue cycle management, the full-time remote Billing Specialist II will manage insurance verification, prepare and submit claims, and oversee patient account payments while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate data in the practice management system.

Key responsibilities

• Maintains the practice management system by entering and verifying insurance and claims information, handling carrier correspondence, and managing payments
• Prepares, reviews, submits, and follows up on clean claims to ensure timely processing and resolution of rejected claims
• Collects, posts, and manages patient account payments while providing professional customer service and resolving billing issues

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum three years of billing experience
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and medical insurance
• Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office applications
