Billing Specialist II

Job Summary

Utilizing expertise in medical coding and revenue cycle management, the full-time remote Billing Specialist II will manage patient account payments, submit and follow up on insurance claims, and maintain accurate data within the practice management system.

Key responsibilities

• Maintains the practice management system by entering and verifying insurance and claims information, and managing payments received
• Prepares, submits, and follows up on clean claims, while investigating and correcting rejected claims
• Provides timely customer service by resolving patient billing issues and facilitating invoice payments

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum three years of billing experience
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and medical insurance
• Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office applications
