Billing Specialist - Oregon/Washington

Job Summary

Responsible for all phases of billing and account follow-up, the full-time Billing Specialist - Oregon/Washington will work remotely to ensure thorough resolution of outstanding charges, manage claims submissions, and address reimbursement issues for a multi-facility organization.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve insurance claim rejections, denials, and non-payment issues with payors
• Identify trends in billing to expedite resolution and improve processing times
• Draft appeals to insurance companies for reimbursement of owed amounts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or insurance account follow-up
• Formal training or coursework in medical billing may substitute for experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to operate general office equipment
