Job Summary
Providing specialized support and education to members of terminated accounts, the full-time Billing Support Specialist will manage a caseload focused on balance bill defense while working remotely to ensure timely issue resolution and a positive member experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage assigned member caseload through proactive advocacy, enhancing member engagement and experience
- Coordinate issue resolution by acting as the point person for member inquiries and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze billing activity to make strategic recommendations for balance bill settlements and maintain accurate documentation throughout the process
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
- 1+ years of related member support experience
- Experience in billing, insurance, healthcare, or legal environments is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet navigation
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations
