Billing Support Specialist

Job Summary

To support surgical providers remotely, the full-time Billing Support Specialist will manage site-specific client information, verify contract rates for billing, and resolve billing rejections while ensuring timely claim submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain site-specific information for assigned clients and verify correct contract rates applied to billing
• Work on billing rejections in clearinghouses and communicate necessary documentation to coding and billing departments
• Monitor quality of charge entry and claim submission, ensuring timely filing of claims and resolving any issues

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance guidelines
• Proven experience handling payer rejections, including various types of claims
• Experience working in an ancillary or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment
• Familiarity with CPT codes, ICD codes, and modifiers
