Billing Team Leader

Job Summary

To enhance the efficiency of the revenue cycle department, the remote Billing Team Leader will manage daily operations, provide team support, and mentor staff while ensuring quality and productivity in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to the revenue cycle management (RCM) team, assisting in resolving complex claim issues and member escalations
• Identify process improvement opportunities and coordinate training to enhance team skills and knowledge
• Analyze escalation trends and deliver targeted training and coaching to improve team performance and understanding of best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with a focus on team development
• 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, particularly in collections and denial management
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing principles and insurance claims processing
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
