Billing Technician

Job Summary

To ensure accurate invoicing and collection of payments, the full-time remote Billing Technician will serve as the first point of contact for billing inquiries, assist in process improvements, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Research and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues via phone and written communication
• Review and ensure accuracy of billing forms before submission to payors
• Assist with insurance verification and preauthorization processes for patient services

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Less than one year of experience in billing, membership enrollment, or claims operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple customer service demands
• Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
