BIM Coordinator - NC Licensed

Job Summary

Overseeing and managing all Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes for assigned Mechanical, Plumbing, and related MEP projects, the full-time remote BIM Coordinator - NC Licensed will ensure seamless design integration and coordination across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and coordinate federated BIM models for multi-trade coordination, constructability reviews, and clash detection
• Perform comprehensive clash detection using Navisworks, identifying and facilitating resolution of conflicts prior to construction
• Collaborate with project teams and other stakeholders to proactively solve design challenges and manage complex space coordination

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Revit and BIM/VDC coordination for MEP design
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and strong working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Strong knowledge of VDC processes and MEP systems integration
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications across multiple disciplines
• Experience in managing shop drawing and model production in support of construction projects
