BIM Technician II

Job Summary

Supporting an assigned group of engineers, the full-time Substation BIM Technician II will provide technical 2D and 3D drafting support, create construction drawings, and ensure the accuracy of 3D models while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop accurate 3D models of substations using Revit
• Complete design and construction drafting work, including plan views, construction details, and electrical schematics
• Ensure 3D models are up to date and comply with project deadlines while integrating with other project deliverables

Required qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or current enrollment in Technical Drafting program
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant field
• Proficiency in Revit is required; knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of substation electrical protection and control or physical design is beneficial
