Bioinformatician
Job Summary
Providing statistical support for the Office of the Director, the remote Bioinformatician will design and maintain databases, conduct data analyses, and prepare reports based on analytical results.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize research methodology and data collection tools to gather appropriate data
- Conduct data analyses, including descriptive statistics and various regression models
- Prepare reports and preliminary interpretations of analyses for scientific and public audiences
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a public health or quantitative field
- Highly proficient in statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python
- Knowledge of data management systems and application of data management software
- Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance
