Job Summary
Supporting the development and expansion of bioinformatics solutions, the full-time remote Bioinformatics Analyst II will manage training workshops, provide subject matter expert support for genomic investigations, and drive process improvements in pathogen genomics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of training workshops, managing all aspects from material preparation to logistics
- Oversee subject matter expert support for external partners to ensure effective solutions for genomic investigations
- Ensure continuous improvement of internal training and support practices while mentoring junior team members
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, microbiology, molecular biology, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in bioinformatics tools and workflows for pathogen genomics
- Advanced proficiency in genome assembly, annotation, and antimicrobial resistance detection
- Deep knowledge of statistical approaches and bioinformatics pipelines for analyzing next-generation sequencing data
- Proficiency with genomic epidemiology methods, including phylogenetics and outbreak investigation tools
