Job Summary
Serving as a senior scientific and operational leader within the Public Health Team, the full-time remote Bioinformatics Analyst III will independently lead complex initiatives, provide scientific oversight, and engage with partners to enhance pathogen genomics services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects and partner engagements, ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with partner needs
- Mentor junior analysts and support the development of best practices and operational efficiencies
- Communicate findings and recommendations to diverse audiences, fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Masters or doctoral degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, microbiology, molecular biology, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in bioinformatics analysis, particularly with NGS and multi-omics data
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Demonstrated expertise in bioinformatics tools and workflows for pathogen genomics
- Experience leading and managing multiple projects in a collaborative environment
