Bioinformatics Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Data Scientist to support the analysis and interpretation of -omics datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, interpret, and analyze -omics datasets
• Implement and manage computational workflows using workflow languages
• Utilize version control systems to track and manage code

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Data Sciences, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• Proficient in advanced Python programming within Linux-based HPC environments
• Strong knowledge of workflow languages such as WDL, Nextflow, or Snakemake
• Experience with Git for version control
• Familiarity with x-omics technologies and their applications
