Bioinformatics Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Developer III to develop cloud-based software for droplet digital PCR platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical expertise in bioinformatics within a research and development team
• Design and develop scalable bioinformatics software for ddPCR assay design
• Support custom assay design needs for internal teams and customers

Required Qualifications

• PhD or MS in molecular biology, bioinformatics, or computer science, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience designing PCR assays for DNA/RNA detection
• Proficient in Python programming
• Experience with software development using OOP and design patterns
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
