Bioinformatics Group Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Lead to drive bioinformatics solutions and mentor a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex studies, including statistical modeling and genomic data interpretation
• Develop and validate algorithms and software solutions for medical device applications
• Provide technical and strategic guidance to the bioinformatics team while overseeing documentation and regulatory submissions

Required Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or BS with extensive equivalent experience)
• Proven experience leading Bioinformatics or Computational Biology teams
• Demonstrated expertise in developing algorithms and software for medical devices
• Experience with regulatory bodies such as the FDA
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and bioinformatics tools
