Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Bioinformatics Research Scientist to design, develop, and optimize data analysis pipelines while managing projects and coordinating efforts related to analysis and infrastructure in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain analytical pipelines for single-cell RNA sequencing, bulk RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and neuronal activity datasets
- Perform genome-wide association study enrichment analyses and integrate multi-omic datasets to explore mechanisms relevant to neurodevelopment and pediatric brain tumors
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists to design analyses, interpret results, and generate publication-quality data visualizations
Required qualifications
- PhD or equivalent research experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field
- Experience analyzing high-dimensional genomic and transcriptomic datasets, including single-cell and spatial omics data
- Proficiency in R, Python, and Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with GWAS methodology and enrichment analysis tools
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant post-degree work in bioinformatics or related fields
