Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist to analyze biological data and develop computational models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and employ computational tools to analyze biological data
• Interpret data such as gene or protein expression patterns and genetic interactions
• Build scalable cloud and HPC solutions for NGS data analysis

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field preferred
• Minimum of five years' experience in next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis
• Excellent programming skills in Python and R, with experience in SQL databases and Unix
• Experience with bioinformatics tools such as BWA, SamTools, and GATK
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment
