Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist to join their team remotely in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with R&D scientists on the development of new assays and measurement technologies
• Perform statistical and bioinformatics analyses of experimental data from clinical testing instruments
• Develop or enhance data analysis pipelines for processing large datasets

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field; or a Master's with 2 years of experience; or a Bachelor's with 6 years of experience
• Proficiency in biological sequence analysis and next-generation sequencing data
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
• Extensive experience in Linux-based HPC or cloud computing environments
• Experience with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT) is highly desirable
