Job Summary
To support the development of regulated diagnostics products, the full-time remote Bioinformatics Scientist will lead bioinformatics design and validation efforts, apply advanced knowledge in genomics, and drive study design and analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead bioinformatics design, development, and validation efforts for new and existing assays, coordinating project timelines and budgets
- Develop statistical and machine learning techniques to evaluate assay performance and create optimization strategies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards throughout the bioinformatics development lifecycle, contributing to regulatory submissions and audits
Required qualifications
- PhD or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field
- A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis and algorithm development
- Thorough understanding of NGS technologies and library preparation methods
- Proficiency in machine learning and bioinformatics workflow development in AWS
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with testing frameworks and SDLC best practices
