Bioinformatics Scientist II
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist II to develop and improve computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale genomic data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics tools and pipelines for NGS data analysis
- Collaborate with clinical, research, and engineering teams to implement solutions for genomic interpretation
- Optimize existing pipelines for performance, accuracy, and scalability
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Biophysics, Computational Biology, or related field with at least 2 years of post-doctoral or industry experience, or an MS degree with 4+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in bioinformatics pipeline development and data analysis
- Experience in analyzing large and complex structured/unstructured datasets under time constraints
- Strong background in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl
