Bioinformatics Scientist III
Job Summary
Seeking a PhD-level computational scientist, the contract Bioinformatics Scientist III will work remotely to identify, process, and analyze multi-modal omics datasets, driving high-impact oncology drug discovery research.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, process, and analyze multi-modal omics datasets using statistical and bioinformatics techniques
- Collaborate with biologists to interpret, report, and present findings to support oncology drug development
- Stay current with scientific literature to integrate emerging data science practices into drug discovery programs
Required qualifications
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field
- Strong programming experience in Python and R within Unix-like environments
- Proficiency in analyzing bulk and single-cell Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data
- Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and biological pathway analysis
