Biology Evaluation Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking expert scientists, the part-time contract Biology Evaluation Scientist will annotate and evaluate AI outputs, generate tasks for system evaluations, and interact with Edison's tools remotely while dedicating 5+ hours per week to support the acceleration of scientific discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Annotating or evaluating outputs from AI systems performing scientific tasks
• Generating or reviewing tasks for evaluating AI systems in scientific contexts
• Completing evaluation tasks as a human expert for baseline comparisons

Required qualifications

• PhD or currently pursuing one in Biology or a related scientific field (other advanced degrees considered)
• Ability to commit 5+ hours per week to the role
• Interest in utilizing AI to drive scientific discovery
