Biology Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer- Biology Research to join their Biology Research department.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and optimize the existing DNA foundation model codebase for maintainability and scalability
• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure high test coverage
• Design and build a robust, user-friendly API for internal sequence-to-function modeling applications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python with experience in developing maintainable and scalable codebases
• Expertise with PyTorch
• Experience with single-cell omics data and familiarity with DNA/RNA sequence modeling frameworks
• Strong background in software engineering best practices, including version control and comprehensive testing
