Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Biome Artist will create and manage terrain and vegetation systems for game arenas, ensuring each biome has a unique identity while collaborating with the art team to meet visual standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and integrate terrain, foliage, and vegetation assets for various biomes
- Build and maintain asset libraries for ground cover, trees, and rocks designed for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with the Art Director to ensure biomes align with visual briefs and seasonal changes
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of environment art experience on shipped AAA titles, focusing on terrain and natural content
- Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5, including Landscape tools and PCG
- Proficiency with vegetation tools like SpeedTree and understanding of plant growth and lighting
- Solid grasp of PBR material workflows for diverse lighting scenarios
- Experience in building artist-friendly asset systems that scale
