Job Summary

To support the Maine CDC Infectious Disease Prevention Program, the full-time Biomedical Prevention Services Coordinator will develop and coordinate statewide HIV prevention initiatives, including PrEP and PEP programs, while engaging with community organizations and healthcare providers in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate statewide HIV prevention initiatives focused on PrEP and PEP access
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for PrEP/PEP activities, building relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations
  • Provide technical assistance and conduct education and outreach activities related to HIV prevention and status-neutral care
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Community Health Education, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in community or health education program planning, development, implementation, or evaluation
  • Experience developing or implementing HIV prevention, PrEP, or PEP programs is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local public health policies and programs
  • Experience working with diverse communities and multidisciplinary partners
