Biospecimen Inventory Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Biospecimen Inventory Associate responsible for managing inventory and logistics of biospecimens.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory activities for biorepository specimen storage and manage shipment logistics
• Update inventory records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare reports on inventory and shipments, ensuring compliance with biospecimen transport regulations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred in a scientific or health-related field
• At least two years of experience in biospecimen shipping/logistics, preferably with a biorepository or clinical study team
• Experience with a LIMS and laboratory/clinical databases
• Familiarity with biospecimen shipment regulations, such as IATA certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
