BLS Certified Virtual Safety Companion

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Virtual Safety Companion to remotely observe and interact with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously observe assigned patients through a one-way camera and alert bedside staff when assistance is needed
• Report unsafe situations and participate in the hand-off of patient information at the beginning and end of shifts
• Provide explanations of services to patients and maintain accurate documentation in patient observation software

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire
• Preferred experience in patient care and previous hospital environment
• No specific educational requirements
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of patient care appropriate to various age groups
• Must be able to function in high-stress situations and respond quickly to behavioral changes
